I am still waiting for that time when young people will talk less of religion and live the life. The problem is not lack of good teachers, but how does what we believe transform our society. My GO is the best, I learnt from the best Bible Teacher, Our church is the best, you don't know the truth, come to us, I understand the scriptures more than you, you need the revelation I have etc. I have searched, and followed Church history. Any nation that enthroned Christ developed faster. Israel has an eternal covenant, Jesus will reign from Jerusalem during millennium, he will sit on David's throne, Israel's twelve tribes names will be at New Jerusalem etc, but Israel is not just sitting down confessing those promises by faith. Israel has produced over 178 Nobel laureates! Arguably the best in most fields. Even if you don't want to believe the God of the Jews, the Jews are the evidence of their God's greatness. Israel has one of the world best health care system, but when we go there on pilgrimage, all we rush to get is water of Jordan, sand of Israel and olive oil! Israelites are the children of Jehovah Jireh, but they are not hanging around praying for food to come down from heaven. They conquered the desert and developed one of the world best Agro-diversities! The land flowing with milk and honey was one of the worst places on earth, Israel used superior intelligence to turn it around, today that scripture is now true, it means God expected them to work out prophesies, using their brains. A trip to Europe and America will show you how Christianity transformed the societies when people struck balance between divinity and humanity. Early monks in the monasteries who invented many things were not just religious men, they were developers, transformers and builders of better society. The modern world owes her civilization majorly to the church. God already gives us almost 40% of natural resources in this world, while all other continents share the rest, yet we are still praying and fasting for him to bless us! We have almost the world most fertile soil, and enough uncultivated arable land, yet we are hungry. Who will deliver African church? where we expect God to do everything while we sleep. Who has bewitched us?, How can a people be so religious but so corrupt. I don't have time to talk about how the church in South Korea transformed their society, pushing Korea to the group of giants. We carry God's Spirit and we are clueless! Friends, we need a different approach to life, evangelism and total Christianity . We cannot continue to call Asian Tigers pagan, we call America and Europe apostates, while we are the most corrupt on earth, and can barely contribute any meaningful thing to the world. A generation praying on pen to write exams, sowing seed to graduate from schools cannot save this land. We need a spiritual, intelligent and holistic renaissance in all fields. Ask your teenagers in church if they know Dora Akunyili, but they know nollywood and soccer stars. African Christian youths! Arise and represent the KING well. Sports and Morality driven entertainment is not bad, but not enough. Jesus wants to be glorified in the cooperate world, industries and factories, hospitals and laboratories, Government and Academia, Banks and Farms, Schools and Barracks, etc.Are we the one that is to come, or shall we wait for another generation?
