Barrister Solomon Dalung, Hon Minister of Youth & Sports, submission on the outcome of Osun Bye Election

I am always at lost with our interpretation of politics. This is where I differ with many. The fall of a dried leaf is good warning to the green one. I am an APC founding member, least I am misunderstood, but the lost of Senatorial election in Osun to PDP and the attendant celebrations even by civil servants indicates that our Governors in the states need to have a rethink. Also at the centre we need self reflection and improve on our performance. In 2019, I see a situation where money and party politics will be debased for intergrity.
I am a revolutionary democrat and I congratulate the PDP but will adjust and work harder to ensure that we retain the confidence of our people. We must remember that the power of incumbency was defeated in 2015 and has since been burried by popular mandate. Therefore, we should grow above politics of hatred or trivialities and mature into politics of service and intergrity. Iam challenged by the defeat of my party with a sitting governor. It calls for sober reflections and not trading of insults my dear people. God bless Nigeria.
